Q&A

What happens at the hair and makeup trial?
At the trial we will discuss your dress, wedding day theme and colours and go through some ideas of the kind of look you want to create. We will then match the look to suit you.
Your trial will last around 2-3 hours for hair and makeup. This includes a full consultation, hair styling, makeup application and eyelash application. All products used will then be noted to ensure we re-create the look for your special day. Kayleigh will also take photos at the trial and email them through to you afterwards to ensure you are happy with the result.

Do you cater for other members in the bridal party as well as the Bride?
The bride is the most important person on her day; however bridesmaids and the mother of the bride/groom want to look their very best too! Everyone can be catered for, however to ensure that enough time is booked out it is important to know how many people require hair and/or makeup before the day. A time plan can then be devised to ensure there is enough time to get everyone ready.

How can I be sure my makeup and hair will last the day?
Your hair will be pinned and sprayed so it will last until your feet can’t dance anymore! If you are having veil on your wedding day and wish for this to be removed, then Kayleigh will show one of your wedding party how to take this out without disrupting your hair style.
Using only products she has full confidence in, including Mac, Bobbi Brown and Estée Lauder, Kayleigh has tested all products for their quality and longevity. They are waterproof and smudge-resistant too, so the application will stay put come rain, shine and even those inevitable wedding day tears!
I will recommend a lip colour to buy before your special occasion so that you can top up your lips throughout the day.

How soon before my wedding should I book the trial?
It is best to have a hair and makeup trial at least three months before the wedding day, allowing you to feel confident that we’ve created the perfect look for your day. Please do get in touch with as much notice as you can to ensure availability on your wedding day.
